- To come in line with the limits recommended by the R&A and USGA, GoIfRSA, as the Governing National Body, Amateurs may NOW accept PRIZE MONEY in Scratch competition. With the set limits as follows, EFFECTIVE FROM 1 JANUARY 2022.
- A Scratch Competition is a competition that must be conducted using scratch (gross) scores only. A player's handicap or their handicap index may not be used for any scoring related functions.
- PRIZE LIMIT: R15 000 prize and can be in CASH, voucher, or retail value prize.
- A Handicap Competition is any competition that is not a scratch competition were handicaps are used to decide prizes or divide players into divisions i.e., club championships, Champion of Champions etc.
